The JokeRs Playhouse Blog: How does it feel to be the Jokers Girl/Court Jester of the Week?

Britne: It definitely feels like a honor. I wasn't expecting it at all!

TJPB: What made you decide to become a JokeRs Girl?

Britne: The people that make and are behind the Jokers Playhouse actually.  I've know a handful of them from working at other clubs and one day I was supposed to be Vipers host and he messaged me telling me he was opening this club. The grand opening was that weekend. Asked me if I wanted to join and I said "sure!" Been a Jokers Girl ever since ;]

TJPB: What do you like most about the JokeRs Playhouse?

Britne: I like that you can be yourself for the most part. there is so much diversity that walks through the JokeRs Playhouse doors and they all seemed to be welcomed. Whether if your a furry, a neko or from a different country. I've seen ponies and even a bat lol. Even myself who like to rp having children in SL. everyone gets the same welcoming environment.

TJPB: Please tell us about the first time you came to The JokeRs Playhouse, your first experience:

Britne:  The first time? Oh gosh I can remember it was a lot of people there for support! and I was nervous (laughs) but honestly every set I'm a little bit nervous cause you never know what will happen/going to happen there. 

TJPB: Ok, random question...  If you could bring someone famous back from the grave, who would you choose? Why?

Britne:  Do I sound like a terrible person if I said i can't think of anyone to bring back? Although, I would think to bring back anyone who tried to make a change for the world  - for the better. People who were a great inspiration on a lot of us to make nation wide changes. (Or inventions)

Britne, as said earlier is an original JokeRs Girl she's been with us from the very beginning and we adore her for her funny ways, wit, loyalty and sweetness. When Britne's not doing her thing at JokeRs shes busy being a Mom and OB/GYN at Mama Allpa check her profile for info! Colin Porterfield: Pretty cool, I've worked here since we started and it is nice to get this recognition. I've had nothing but fun here!



TJPB: What made you decide to become a Court Jester?

Colin Porterfield: I have hosted at a few different places over the years and I knew much of the management and staff that worked so I decided to do it all again.

TJPB: What do you like most about the JokeRs Playhouse?

Colin Porterfield: The people, there is always something fun going on, good conversation, craziness lol. It wouldn't be the same without the people.

TJPB: Please tell us about the first time you came to The JokeRs Playhouse, your first experience:

Colin Porterfield: My memory sucks but if I remember right it started as me and Viper working. The crowd we had was pretty big and there was all the buzz of the new club and all that excitement. Good times for sure!

TJPB: Ok, random question... Boobs or Butts? Why?

Colin Porterfield: Butts >.> ~I needed elaboration but Colin wasn't very helpful :p ... Luna: hey fartface you didn't say why you liked butts!! Colin: idk Colin: just do Colin: rofl


Mr. Pork-her-fields, I mean Porterfield is one of our best troopers, he's been with us from the beginning and brings us all kinds of fun stuff, quirkiness and oodles of bacon for our enjoyment, he is definitely one you must come and hang out with! You'll keep coming back for more!!

Nanagirl75: I had visited Jokers a few times and loved the club and thought it would be a great place to work.



TJPB: What do you like most about the Jokers Playhouse?



Nanagirl75: I like how we all joke around and have fun and are there for each other.



TJPB: Please tell us about the first time you came to The Jokers Playhouse, your first experience:



Nanagirl75: well, I was really nervous my first day as a jokers girl but everyone made me fell welcome and comfortable fast.



TJPB: Ok, random question... What do you prefer on your man...boxers, briefs or commando? Why?



Nanagirl75: I prefer boxers on my man lol. As to why well i just think they look sexier that way lol:)



Nana (nanagirl75 Resident) is one of our troopers, shes been with us throughout three sims and stuck with us for good and bad, she is super sweet not to mention sexy and a barrel full of fun, she is surely one you don't want to miss so make sure you come check her out when she is working! New Year, New Jokers Girls for you all to delight your eyes with! This time around we are featuring as our first Jokers Girl for 2014 our fabulous Poison Luminos, we asked the questions and here are her answers:

The JokeRs Playhouse Blog: How does it feel to be the Jokers Girl/Court Jester of the Week?


Poison: o.0 Very cool! lol


TJPB: What made you decide to become a Jokers girl?

Poison: People I knew told me about the club and I kind of ended up falling in love with the place and the people here and wanted to work here. So you guys been stuck with my ass since.


JPB: What do you like most about the Jokers Playhouse?


Poison: The people. We have great DJs, great Jokers Girls and Jesters, and most of all we have kick ass VIPs that I have a blast talking to.


TJPB: Please tell us about the first time you came to The Jokers Playhouse, your first experience:


Poison: It's been months, but I remember loving peoples sense of humor. People were a bit twisted and sometimes odd. I felt like I was home. lol


TJPB: Ok, random question... What is one of your childhood embarrassing moments...elaborate?


Poison: Hmm... most embarrassing childhood moment? Um... wow. I embarrassed myself a lot. Lol. Hard to pick one. Ok.. I grew up in Ohio. Our Winters can be a bit rough. I had the bright idea after a snowstorm that had an ice storm right after to use a plastic serving tray as a sled. I did not think through that we had an inch of ice on top of the snow and the trays are REALLY slick on snow anyway. So my dumb ass slides down my steep front yard and shoots across the street barely missing cars and ends up going up the woman across the streets hill and into her front door. How I did not give her a heart attack I do not know. She was rather pissed and I was a bit more than embarrassed. But it was fun as hell :) Poison is sassy, sweet and whimsical - she always has something amazing to say. If any of you have her as a friend on facebook you'll know she's an avid Dr. Who fan and has a ridiculously hilarious sense of humor, she's been with us from pretty much the beginning and is an impeccable worker, loads of fun and of course very pretty to look at :D

Hello pretty peoples of The JokeRs Playhouse! After our little holiday hiatus we are pleased to spotlight this week another one of the excellent stores in our mall, this time it is .twenty13. owned by Braevin Resident...

The JokeRs Playhouse Blog: Your store .twenty13. is featured for this week and we want to know a few things about you! Please tell us how long have you been in SL?

Braevin: I lost track of years. I guess this getting older thing is hindering my memory. I would say I've been in Second Life going on 7 years all together.

The JokeRs Playhouse Blog: What inspired you to create in SL?

Braevin: I'm a creative person all around but I enjoy creating in Second Life because there are not many limitations on what I can create and I enjoy sharing my items with consumers on the grid.

The JokeRs Playhouse Blog: What was they very first thing you ever created and do you still have it?

Braevin: Hum. I created a newbish looking 2 story house on my first avatar but I do not have it anymore thank the Lord because I closed that account and it went bye-byes.

The JokeRs Playhouse Blog: How would you describe your style?

Braevin: My style is all over the place for both Mens and Womens items. I try to cater to the general public.

The JokeRs Playhouse Blog: What do you find to be the hardest thing about creating in SL?

Braevin: Due to changes in my RL and recently getting married to my wonderful wife, Marissa Alderton, I find it hard at times to actually find the time to work on items because I'm more focused and consumed with my babygirl and enjoying my time in Second Life with her. Although, certain nights I do get in my "creative mode" and Mars will sit, watch and ask questions or try to distract me by getting naked.. ::smirks:: ..but most times I just keep her occupied by jumping on the trampoline next to me.

The JokeRs Playhouse Blog: Soo... any exciting projects underway or new releases you want to tell everyone about?

Braevin: Haha. This list is endless right now. We have many projects in the works. We have 2 mesh winter themed outfits (1 Female, 1 Male), 5 more options for the Mens Mesh Long sleeve Shirt, Mesh Jewelry, More Kapz for the [ KAPZ ] branch of the store and some home decor items as well for the holiday season.

The JokeRs Playhouse Blog: Any comments to "The Haters" ?

Braevin: Haters? Oh, you mean those cleverly disguised people who mask themselves as our friends? Those people that sit there waiting, wishing and hoping for us to fail that we tend to completely ignore? Those haters? My lawyer informed me to simply reply, "No comment."

Mandi:  I have my Twinnie to thank actually because she found Jokers and we both rented stores in the Mall which is where I met Viper and he gave me an application form I started to hang there and liked the friendly atmosphere and thought it was somewhere I could bring my cheeky sense of humour to

TJPB: What do you like most about the Jokers Playhouse?

Mandi:   There is very much a strong team effort and everyone seems to get along. You really do feel like everyone cares and has fun.

TJPB: Please tell us about the first time you came to The Jokers Playhouse, your first experience:

Mandi:   Lol well I guess that would be meeting Viper in the Mall, you could sense his pride and passion for the place and the people and he loved my accent that on the spot he asked me to make his DJ drops lol He makes me sound quite cool put to music haha

TJPB: Ok, random question... What's your most favorite part of your body and why?

Mandi: I've always liked my eyes but everyone always seems to comment on my smile so maybe that lol.

Mandi is the owner and creator of Mandilena Creations (mainstore located on the Heavenly Views sim) & Aurora's Closet (mainstore located on the Pearl Beach sim) where you will find gestures, wall decals, clothing for men & women, sky boxes, picture frames and Gifts. TJPB: Your store .:Dystorted:. is featured for this week and we want to know a few things about you! Please tell us how long have you been in SL?

TS: I have been in sl for about 6 years now

TJPB: What inspired you to create in SL?

TS: I couldn't find clothes with the style I liked so I decided to start making my own and with a lot of encouragement from friends I decided to open a store.

TJPB: What was they very first thing you ever created and do you still have it?

TS: The first thing I ever made was a T-shirt it was really bad and yes I do believe I still have it.

TJPB: How would you describe your style?

TS: I like to go off the beaten path at times, I love bright and colorful things that are sexy but I also love classic looks as well. I love to mix and match everything. So my store has a variety of styles to suit anyones taste from sexy to sophisticated.

TJPB: What do you find to be the hardest thing about creating in SL?

TS: The hardest thing for me is I am a perfectionist so sometimes me being to picky makes things a lot harder.

TJPB: Any comments to "The Haters" :D?

TS: Honestly there is no comments needed :) Haters make you famous right?
TJPB: LOL! SO true.

Lala Pop: Considering the amount of amazing staff we have, it's a huge honor! I'm actually still a little shocked!

TJPB: What made you decide to become a Jokers girl?

Lala Pop: At first it was because my family worked for Jokers. My mama, Angie is an awesome DJ here and I love working next to her. Also because I have many friends here and have met a lot of amazing people along the way.

TJPB: What do you like most about the Jokers Playhouse?

Lala Pop:  The friendliness of the club. You don't get excluded from the conversations in local chat, because you aren't a part of that circle of friends, like in other clubs.

TJPB: Please tell us about the first time you came to The Jokers Playhouse, your first experience:

Lala Pop:  The first time I came to Jokers was before it opened and I drove a Segway around the dance floor. It was a lot of fun!

TJPB: Ok, random question... What eye color do you find sexiest and why?

Lala Pop:  Hazel. The mixture of light and dark colors together are intriguing and beautiful to me. °͜°

**Lala Pop has been with JokeRs for quite some time brightening the room when she comes in, she's full of randomness and funny, definitely someone you must come spend some time with here, you'll be happy you did!

Kairi: The whole atmosphere., there's no drama and I love everyone that comes here.

TJPB: What do you like most about the Jokers Playhouse?

Kairi: The people, the whole atmosphere, I jus love them random chats I walk into hehe

TJPB: Please tell us about the first time you came to The Jokers Playhouse, your first experience:

Kairi: , As a punter I felt at home, welcomed in like I was one of their own. As a Jokers Girl, from what I remember I came in and was nervous, but as I love chatting I was surprised that my nerves went away and I felt right at home. Also made a lot of tips but besides that it's an awesome place and my 2nd home.

TJPB: Ya, I have to ask...whats a punter?

Kairi: Oh peeps who come in, its a UK thing hehe anyone who walks in your club/pub or bar they're punters!

(Sidenote: Ooo... Sugarbutt has a sexy english accent yummm!)

TJPB: Ok, random question... If you had to have a cow or a pig, which would you take? Why?

Kairi;  Cow... cos I love milk and one time I went camping in RL and remember waking up to a field of em and jus ran around in my jammies shouting Mooooo which shit them up and they all ran off...LOL

 Drumroll please...here we have our JokeRs Girl of the week!! This time it is fabulous Laynii in the spotlight and here is what she has to say:

TJPB: Congrats on becoming Jokers Girl of the Week. How does it feel?

Laynill: No autographs please... But for reals, it's an honor; there is so many great staff to choose from.

TJPB: What made you want or decide to become a Jokers Girl?

Laynill: A friend of mine convinced me to get back into hosting and to stop spending so much time staring at my avatar. He was a DJ at Jokers & always talked very highly of his job. Every week I would go to his sets and it was a very relaxing and enjoyable place to chill when I wasn't blogging or modeling. The whole Joker theme definitely helped a lot and tickled my nerdy side, even though it needs more Batman, js.

TJPB: Anyone who has ever been to one of your sets knows you like to have fun and have a good time. What’s your most memorable experience as a Jokers Girl?


Laynill: Oh damn, there is so many. Every Friday night is memorable honestly. You just never know what is going to come out of anyone’s mouth and what you will learn while Jung djs. Some of it you might wish you could burn it out of your mind and forget, but there are for sure tons of laughs.

Laynill: Since I started at Jokers 7 months ago, I've come to really love it there. I have been given the pleasure to work with some really great people & would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a place to call home. * Laynii is one of our first Jokers Girls and she is a hardworking barrel of fun! Vixen: Mmmhhhhmmmm I'd pay someone to wash the dishes for me and fold my clothes.. get to working ^,^ Maybe even pay someone to put a smile on their face most people are just Blahhhhh :) <3 Huggies! In The Spotlight With Jokers Girl Daggs

Today we take a moment to spotlight the lovely Daggs. One of our newest Jokers Girls; Daggs is definitely no stranger to hosting at big clubs. Daggs is an amazing Dancer/Host and the Jokers Playhouse is definitely lucky to have added her to the stable of amazing talent.

The Jokers Playhouse: Second Life how did you get your start in the game? And do you ever regret starting?

Daggs: I was at a big party with a friend and we saw it on someone’s computer so we both thought it looked fun and made ourselves each an account...I'm still here and she lasted a month or so. Wouldn't say I regret starting the game, but a few bad choices along the way, but just made me a bit smarter.

The Jokers Playhouse: How did you get your start dancing/hosting?

Daggs: I started dancing within my first month of SL. I happen to be at a sex sim like most of us start out at (no idea) how I got there or why I was there, but met a club owner and he took me under his arm and taught me the roles of the club/nightlife. I've either owned, managed, dj'd, danced or hosted since then.

The Jokers Playhouse: When people look at your profile they notice some amazing pics, who is your photographer of choice?

Daggs: Skip Staheli, he's completely amazing

 The Jokers Playhouse: What are you looking for in your ideal mate?

 Daggs: Hmm... My ideal boyfriend is patient, knows that it’s going to take time for our relationship to thrive...he knows we are going to have ups and downs...understands that sometimes we will argue...he believes an argument with me is still better than any other woman. He needs to be sure of himself and not scared of being in control, and not a mommy’s boy and confident in making decisions. I want to be treated like a princess during the day, and at night the tiara comes off. He needs to know what he wants and takes it! Now if he only exists....lol

 

In The Spotlight With DJ Grace

The Jokers Playhouse:  How long have you been DJing? How did you get your start and what has been your favorite gig?

DJ Grace:  I have been DJing for 3-4 years. I started DJing because a friend took the time to teach me and encouraged my love of music. I don't really think I have a favorite gig. My favorite type I guess is when someone says “I’ve never heard this song before, I love it!" kind of makes the whole set awesome. The

Jokers Playhouse:  As a female we know you love clothes and as well we know you are definitely up on your fashions. What would be your one items of fashion that is a MUST?

DJ Grace:  As far as clothing goes, I'm kind of conservative and I don't have my boobs out and ass fallin outta my pixel pants... but my favorite things about fashion are the accessories.

The Jokers Playhouse:  Thinking back on DJing in Second Life, what would be your fondest moment?

DJ Grace:  Again, no one actual moment I can pin-point. My best memories are of just having a bunch of friends around and just being silly. No one is judging you for what song you do or don't like just easy and open conversation and having fun with people, like SL should be.

The Jokers Playhouse: What would be your advice to anyone wanting to become a DJ in SL?

DJ Grace:  My advice for anyone wanting to be a DJ is don't burn out...  Yes VIPs are important but what’s more important is that you have fun...  Because if you aren't, they won't. DJ Grace is an amazing talent for the Jokers Playhouse. She works on Sundays from 6p-8p you do not want to miss her in action.

In The Spotlight With DJ Rumor

The Jokers Playhouse: You have been DJing for some time in SL, please tell us how did you get your start?

DJ Rumor: I’ve been a DJ for gosh about 6 years now.  I got my start after Hosting at numerous clubs...I remember sitting there listening to some pretty horrible DJs thinking...My God...anyone can do this LOL, So I bought my Sam software...asked a good friend how to set it up and the rest is history.

The Jokers Playhouse:  If you are in a set, you always seem so calm and have the perfect things to say. Do you ever get nervous when you DJ?

DJ Rumor: The only time I really get nervous is when its a HUGE event and I want things to go Perfectly...its at those times where everything goes wrong. But somehow it usually all comes together and everyone seems to have fun. Believe me I really never have anything set up to say...I kinda just say what pops in my head. I honestly think Loving to do it is key and really comes across when you are on mic.

The Jokers Playhouse: A year ago you were with DJ Fenom...and now DJ Malachi? Inquiring minds want to know? Who is the better DJ?

 

DJ Rumor: HaHa and I thought these were cookie cutter questions.

The Jokers playhouse: Now what fun would cookie cutter questions be?

DJ Rumor: If you are comparing the Fenom and Malachi, I would have to say Malachi....today he is a lot more relaxed and happy with himself and has better equipment..."Baby has a Boom" He has been said to sound like Howard Stern...quite the compliment I think...He has found his love for it again and I think he is amazing no matter what avie he is on. Now if you are asking who is better between him and I??? thats easier...ME of course....lol Truth be know our styles are different...one thing is the same though we both love to have fun and involving the audience is a very big part of that.

The Jokers Playhouse: What would be your go to store for womens hair?

DJ Rumor: HaHa Gawd you know me well....Hmm I have to pick 1? Ok Ok I guess my back up hair place would be either Wasabi Pills or Truth....but really they are like Lays Potato chips.. "you can't pick just one" *winks.

 

 

DJ rumor if you never caught one of our sets your truly missing out on an amazing show full of laughs and good tunes, Mark it on your calendar to catch one of her sets you won't be disappointed, She is a kind amazing DJ that makes sure each of her sets are a good time with good laughs good friends and great music, Along with her amazing DJ and awesome friendship I'm glad I had the chance to know Rumor along the way she a great person and wonderful friend.  I wish her and Mal a long lasting friendship as a friendship is an important key and I know there amazing friends and partners in life and in love, I wish you both nothing but the best for years to come you both amazing people and amazing DJ's.

 

 

 

 

 

In The Spotlight With Jester Colin Porterfield

The Jokers Playhouse; You are known as the very first "Jester" to work for the Jokers Playhouse. In fact few know but the position was created for you. So was it a hard sell to get hired? I don’t think so.

Colin Porterfield; Viper has always had this bromance for me so I don’t think it was a tough sell. Plus it didn’t hurt that I have hosted before at other clubs.

The Jokers Playhouse;  People who know Colin typically tend to know one thing about you. Your love for bacon... please explain this love.

Colin Porterfield; What is there not to love? Bacon goes with almost everything, in fact I just had some this morning and it was amazing! The way I look at it I could be known as much worse things so being synonymous with the love of bacon is pretty alright!

The Jokers Playhouse;  If there was one thing you would do differently in SL. What would it be?

Colin Porterfield; I’m honestly not sure. I’ve been here for 4 years and even though I have had my ups and downs there are a lot of memories to reflect on. I can’t think of anything really that I regret or anyone I wish I never knew. I still enjoy logging on after all this time so that’s good right?

The Jokers Playhouse; The Jokers Playhouse has hired other Jesters since you, but your being the first, what would you say to others who would want to do this job?

Colin Porterfield; It is a fun job and I would definitely recommend others joining! Viper might make some awkward sexual advances but the bromance thing is just a part of his charm! But in all seriousness, apply, join the team because we have lots of fun and I enjoy working with everyone very much!
